Actually the subplot last year i thought was at first i didnt get it but as the season wore on i understood more and i really liked it much better then this years sub plot.
And as for detonating a nuclear warhead over the desert or over the ocean, it would probably be far less hazardous out in the desert then in the ocean, but i could be mistaken. I had the same reaction to the wife and daughter plot last season, but at least then it added motivation for the main character. And the plot holes in the previews for next week...argh! They're in Los Angeles, right next to the whole freeling huge Pacific ocean, and they're going to fly the bomb over the desert?
