hehe I always laugh when i remember that IRAQ at one time in the iran-iraq war when we were iraqs friends was that we gave them a few F-14 fighters.
But the best part is to my knowledge they were never flown by iraq because they were never given training to fly them. ----- Original Message ----- From: "jon hall" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "CF-Community" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, March 04, 2003 5:02 PM Subject: Re: Personal Stance Change for Iraq Policy Maybe he just want's to clean up the mess Reagan and Bush Sr as head of the CIA made? We know Iraq has Chemical and Biological weapons because we were the ones who gave them to Iraq. http://www.scoop.co.nz/mason/stories/HL0208/S00158.htm Leaving Hussein, who obviously has a bit of a grudge against the US with these weapons and down the road, who is to say he would be against selling a bit of anthrax to Al Quaeda? Looking at the issue from a different angle, what benefits are their to leaving Hussein in power? Other than the risk of destabilizing the middle east even more (if that's possible), and pissing off the French (which could be a benefit) the possible downsides are much greater. Anyway, that's the way the Roman's would have looked at it. It was only an enemy they didn't foresee that caused their downfall. All the rest were beaten to the punch. -- jon mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Tuesday, March 4, 2003, 4:02:42 PM, you wrote: BB> John- BB> I'm somewhat surprised to find myself agreeing with you.
