Thank you for asking! Come on up, pull up a chair! I will tell you at
length of the wonderful effects and benefits of multi-monitor support
and implementation in modern Oses!

They can cure eyestrain, back problems and most forms of cancer! Stress
levels are reduced by nearly 2/3s and over 50% of users have reported
more lusterious, full-bodied hair! Housepets love them as they greatly
reduce existing flea populations.

But seriously, here's some scenarios:

1) I've got a TV card in my 'puter so TV on the right, application on
the right.

2) DVD playing on one monitor, me working on the other.

3) Studio, full screen on the right and IE on the left - for checkin'.

4) Word on the right (doing specs) and the app being spec'ed on the
left.

5) Studio, CorelDraw 11, PaintShopPro, Word and a few IE windows on the
left with MSN Messenger, the TV, the CF Debugging window, CuteFTP and a
few more IE windows on the right. ;^)

In the end it really just gives you more space to play with.

I run two 18.1 LCDs (I used to run two 21" CRTs - at nearly 80 lbs
each!) at 1280x1024 - that's 2560x1024 or over 161 sqaure inches of
desktop to plop whatever I want on! (Of course my ACTUAL desktop space
is more limited - another thing that the LCDs helped to deal with.)

Like I said - once you go dual you'll never want to go back. Of course
this really only matters to those that multitask a lot. If you rarely
have more than one program opened at a time then there's truly no reason
to go Dual.
