That's absolutely correct, but unlikely in most cases.  Most of them are
pretty reasonable if you follow their claim rules and don't whine at anyone
involved in the process.

Try to serve on a jury sometime, though.  It's a great civic duty if you can
schedule it in.

I was called to the jury bullpit a couple of times, and finally went into
final selection for a government land-grab case against a woman who wanted
to keep her land.  I don't think the plaintiff's government attorney liked
me much, so I wasn't selected...

"Do you feel that you would make a good juror on this case, Mr. Churvis?"

"Yes, I do."

"I don't think you'd be very impartial, Mr. Churvis."

"Oh?  And why is that, counselor?"

"Because that voodoo doll whose head you're twisting off looks exactly like
me."

"Oops--  Uh, that's not a voodoo doll, counselor; it's just a stress
relieving tool."

"Then why is my head on backward, Mr. Churvis?"

"Good point."
