Lol.... I was watching the OReilly factor last night (my favorite show) and someone on there, but not bill, said that IRAQ had basically divied up it's oil reserves to France, Russia and China. But signed contracts with them and the only way they can collect is if the sanctions have been lifted.
We all know what a stellar human rights record China has, so any argument where they weigh in as a moral authority is already lost as far as I'm concerned. France has a had a very distinct anti-american viewpoint for at least the last 40 or so years. Just one incident is their refusal to allow US planes to fly over their airspace during the Libya bombings. There are many others. Did you know that 25% of the people who vote in France vote communist and are blatantly anti-semetic. How effective is the UN? Anyone care to talk about Rwanda? Bosnia? Hmmmm, how effective is the UN gonna be after the US does what it should do and removes Saddam. Did anyone see a month or so ago right on TV when the man ran up to the UN inspectors and begged to be taken away by them and protected? They calmly peeled him out of their vehicle and allowed the 'friendly' Iraqui police to take him away. Do you think that guy is still alive?
