If the printer has a JetDirect card (which you would have paid extra for) it
could be attached via the wired side of the network.  IIRC, the OJ-V40 can
take a card, but that's a $100-200 accessory, so you might just want to turn
printer sharing on.  :-)  Shouldn't be a risk behind a router, provided you
don't point the DMZ to that computer.
