Yes. At home we have 2 PC's, one a Win98/W2k dual boot and the other a Windows 2000 Advanced Server. The mac is an iBook.
The only real difficulty we had in setting up the wireless part of the network was remembering to include a $ at the start of the hexidecimal WEP encryption key. Otherwise it was literally plug and play. OSX plays very nicely on Windows networks. BTW the basic 12.1 inch ibook goes from less than $1000 to around $1200. http://computers.cnet.com/hardware/search/1,10121,0-1027-402-0,00.html?pn=1&ob=3&qt=&qn=&F5=0&F8=2&F9=0&F11=0&F14=0&F17=0&F21=0&F25=0&F27=0&sm=7 As for software, I have MS OfficeX on the iBook. Its actually quite a lot better than OfficeXP or Office 2000 for the PC. The only real bit of software that I wish was now available for the Mac is HomeSite/CFStudio. But BBEdit with the CFLibrary works very well. And if I get really desperate, I can always start up VirtualPC, and open up CF Studio on Win2K on the IBook. NOw if I could only find the time to get the Mac versions of JRun and ColdFusion up and running hth, larry At 06:45 AM 3/17/2003 -0800, you wrote: >Do you have a mix of IBM/Windows and Apples on the network?
