I have no idea. I think what you think I said was said by someone else. I'm with the "right to trial" people. This is an odd case. The guy was in the middle of a military base. They can afford to take some time and investigate. Now if he did this out in the middle of the battlefield, then that would be different. In that situation, troops can't afford to be bothered with trying to control someone nuts enough to attack them from within. In that case, I guess he would be shot and no one would complain much .. actually, the public would probably never know.
