I truly don't understand your outrage. >From the paragraph you posted, it appears that READERS (active SUBSCRIBERS) of the >magazine get two votes. Everyone else gets one vote.
That seems perfectly fair to me. Why does the fact that a magazine that is running an awards poll lets its own paying valid subscriber base have a perk that the general public does not. Be thankful that they let non-subs vote at all! Most magazines don't. They only allow votes from their subscriber/member pool. Take the Academy Awards for example. Or Baseball hall of fame voting, or the Heisman trophy. All allow different classes of people different voting rights. Again, why does this tweak your nose so bad? Jerry Johnson >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 06/05/03 01:45PM >>> Hello Angel, I'll just bring the topic back to the point at hand. As part of our 2003 Readers' Choice Awards Voting Process - ACTIVE subscribers (Ad viewers) of ColdFusion Developer's Journal votes will be qualified as 2 points in our voting tally. New subscribers votes will count as 1 point. Subscription records are verified as of the start of voting - March 31, 2003. This is like the voting process in 3rd world countries... ah I'm behind so all my supporters get to vote AGAIN. Kind Regards, Mike Randolph P.S. I still haven't looked up specious yet, but I'm fairly confident it's a dig :). 1. So long as Macromedia is selling ColdFusion we'll be supporting it! 2. Yes I do have a tendency to rant and yes I am a bit too sure of myself at times. I research topics that interest me completely so I speak with confidence, not arrogance. Just the facts mam.
