I am going to regret this.

Why is it "rigged" if subscribers get an extra vote? Who is it rigged for? How does my
being a subscriber change the way I am going to vote?

Why do you assume that change to the rules (allowing _subscribers_, not _advertisers_,
to effectively vote twice) was made to suit their advertisers?
That assumption makes no sense.

Also, I think it is perfectly fair. Why should you, a random person in the world get
an equal vote with me, a long time paying subscriber who has shown by my subscription
a commitment and interest in the field?

Why should you get a vote at all?

Similar examples:
Why should the US allow non-citizens to vote?
Why should the UN allow non-member states to vote?

This is not a game. This is a set of technical product awards given by an industry
journal. The journal has decided that its subscribers are better suited to choose the
winners of these "choice" awards than the general public. And possibly, this will in
fact _UNRIG_ the awards, since the general public can't spam the voting and skew the
results by voting as often as they like.

Finally, if you also want two votes next year, buy a subscription.

Hello Jerry,

The issue at hand is the fact that CFDJ has over the years built this award
up to mean something.

IF they had rigged it every year, we'd all be trained to know it doesn't
mean anything. But that's not what has happened they have spent some
years making this award mean something and then they changes the rules to
suit their advertisers.

If you think that's fair, I'm sure glad I don't play any games with you...
Ah no my checker is worth two of your checkers and you have to jump it
twice. come on that isn't fair...it just isn't.

Kind Regards,
Mike Randolph
