Just burn the iso, and you get a bootable cd with every rescue utility
in existence. It can boot to straight DOS, create windows boot disks,
and do an rescue boot of the OS from the HD or from the CD, among a
ton of other useful things. Even has a mini bootable Linux distro.

I've never been in a situation with a hosed system where it didn't
come in handy, and it's free :)
