Actually, we as a country and world had several months of active debate.  It
was no accident, but a carefully planned (and perhaps orchestrated) event.
The major question is were we intentionally misinformed by Bush in order to
get public approval for the invasion.  And at this point, in the absence of
facts, it is in fact a question, not the fait accompli that many on this
list appear to be making it.

Also, the WMD discussion in the UN was not about IF he had them, only about
the right way to stop him from having them.  One of the reasons all of us
knew he had them was that US, France and Russia all had receipts from the
sale.  So we had a reason for the "liberation".

Question: Did we ever declared war on Iraq?
