I remember Reagan and figure they are going to re-elect this guy. He is *so* good at wrapping himself in the flag. Personally, I suspect (though I can't prove) that the administration was well aware of the questions surrounding WMD but decided they could be sold as a reason for the war. Whether Bush himself sincerely believed this I am not sure. Certainly somewhere along the line a decision was made by somebody that the truth didn't matter all that much.
