About 300 kilcks north of Edmonton. CFB Cold Lake is a military base with a lot of oil people around. Very large reservation there also. We also lived in Grand Centre (which wasn't so grand). Primrose Lake is the worlds largest live fire range in the world. It's also up there. Green peace used to come up for the yearly cruize missle tests and make all kinds of trouble.
It was interesting, but I had quite a bit of culture shock both times I moved there. The first time I was in fourth grade and we moved there from Buford Georgia. Wow. Thank god I was young. I moved back to New York with my mom when I was like 11. That was like hitting a wall. Then back to Canada at 15, damn did I hate it then. I mean after New York just being in the sticks like that was horrible.
