I am not sure its popularity is because it is so well imagined... the 
charactures are appealing but kinda two-dimensional and the spells are 
rather silly. I think the appeal is that the issues are simple and doing 
the right thing does pay off in the end....loyalty is rewarded and the good 
guy wins.
