Okay, here goes...

I finished the book this morning. It reminds me of Attack of the
Clones. Starts out slow, but once it gets going whoa.. what a great
book. Seems that everyone is fighting with each other in the beginning and
Harry hates everyone. I guess that is normal for a 15 year old?

Sirius felt out of character to me.
There isn't really a happy moment in the book until Harry and company
start up DA. But, when Dumbledore is kicked out of the school the real fun
begins. The Weasley twins causing a diversion and leaving the school was
fantastic.

The ending battle and Sirius' death was done great. So was Dumbledore
fighting Voldemort. At every turn I was trying to figure out who was gonna
be the one to die; there were a lot of false leads. Ron's
father? Professor McGonogall? They didn't really explore Harry dealing
with the death, though.

  A of my thoughts...
As Michael had said.. why can squibs see Dementors?

Why was Snape referring to Voldemort as "The Dark Lord"? Was he really
helping Harry learn how to block his mind?

Umbridge was about to use the Crucious (sp?) curse on Harry. It is
illegal, so that must mean she is in league with Voldemort or at least
being controlled by one of them, right? She said she sent the Dementors
after Harry. Is that why she liked all the Slytherins so much? Why are
they leaving her in the hospital ( unguarded ) as the book ends. It
doesn't add up.

Why do we have to wait until the next book to find out about the grades
they got on their OWLS?
