People make rafts out of plastic bags and sprinkler piping and cross the open Ocean to get here from Cuba so they can clean hotel rooms. I've seen truckfuls of immigrants packed into U-Hauls drive 1,400 miles to cut tobacco for pennies on the pound. I don't know for sure, but I suspect my Albanian trashman has a masters or a PhD. He is definitely well educated, and he was an illegal for 12 years before becoming naturalized after sneaking into the country through Canada.
All I know is some smart people work very hard to come over here to work very dissatisfying, low paying, and unrewarding jobs that no one over here would want to be stuck in. If I was living in a lawless region of the world that suddenly had no utilities and was occupied by a foreign power, and I had anything that looked like it could buy me a ticket out of there to a place where these things are not a problem, I would be making a big deal about it. A centrifuge is significant, I'm not saying it isn't, but it is not like they unearthed a working a-bomb ready to be delivered. That would set me off, but this is a centrifuge.
