If you walk up to someone on the street and punch them, your right, it's assault. However if you decide to step in the ring, when you get punched it's called boxing. It's the same thing here. When you decide to go into a resturant that allows smoking you are taking the responsibility into your own hands. You don't have to stop eating out at all. IF all the non-smokers got together, and lobbied business, rather than government, and showed them the market was their, then you would have your non-smoking resturants. Hell they already exist in my area (Virginia and DC) and they are allowed to be smoking, some just choose not to have it. They are targeting their market.
Ben, I likeyou man, but I have a major issue with your thinking that you should be able to tell others what to do based on your illness. I am an alcoholic, I know I can't drink. If I do I distroy my life. Yet I don't think that they should be able to serve alchol in resturants or bars to protect me. I just don't put myself in those situations anymore. My problem not yours.
