It has nothing to do with the patrons of the establishment. The main
argument I hear around here is to protect the employees.

At issue is second hand smoke and the public health risks associated. One ad
I have seen around here claims that a woman who works 8 hours in a local
diner inhales enough second hand smoke to make up two packs of cigarettes.

In this state I think that all restaurants are required to offer non-smoking
smoking sections, but not smoking sections, bars were off limits. The
proposed legislation would require all public enclosed places to not allow
smoking.

This would be all bars, restaurants, night clubs, etc.
