I disagree.

Part of the thing about Blizzard's appeal is that they DID make BIG
BUDGET games that were epic.
That CG art and animation was top notch and movie quality. Can't do that
on a small budget.
The amount of time they took to bring their games to market while
keeping their development teams well paid is another thing you can't do
without a big budget.

Blizzard = Big Budget.

And no, in today's gaming landscape no one wants to play a game without
top notch graphics. That's the big lure.
The graphics. People who will accept sub par graphics if the 'gameplay'
is good are a minority.

Even me, I've been PC gaming since I was 8 with titles like Shamus and
Zaxxon, DigDug.Ultrabots...etc. Now, when I check out a game I head
straight for the Screenshots page.

oh well i'll just buy the games from the people when they start a new
company. Of course they sold themselves out to begin with so they don't
really have room to talk. Nobody forced them to stop being who they were
or to sell themselves or to even stay after they were bought out. They
can go by themselves and tough it out people who like good games will
buy games that aren't big budget games though i know its nice. Like
combat mission series i really like there games because they are true to
life and realistic even if they aren't the best graphically or what not.

but i will follow the guys who made blizzard what it was because i like
the work they do.
