Most web servers provide a function to do this. IIS 4+ and Apache 1.3+ I
know for sure.

Essentially you have to have the server listen to requests and then when a
request for a specific domain comes in, the server responds with a specific
file/directory.

right now, I'm not in configuration mindset so I can't recall off the top of
my head, if you'd like though I can look up specifics.
