What I don't get is that I seem to remember someone saying this site costs millions of dollars. Now, I can see the hardware being expensive, but I could have coded the application in about five minutes. Am I remembering right?
By the way, when they tried to add a DNC list in Virginia a few years back, a local telemarketer actually had the nerve to say that he thought, really, that consumers who signed up for a list still wanted to get phone calls. -shudder- Another tactic they try is to remind us of all the people who work in the phone centers. Um... so am I supposed to feel pity for someone who works in an industry I despise? ======================================================================== === Raymond Camden, ColdFusion Jedi Master for Mindseye, Inc (www.mindseye.com) Member of Team Macromedia (http://www.macromedia.com/go/teammacromedia) Email : [EMAIL PROTECTED] Blog : www.camdenfamily.com/morpheus/blog Yahoo IM : morpheus "My ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is." - Yoda > -----Original Message----- > From: Kevin Graeme [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Thursday, July 03, 2003 12:06 PM > To: CF-Community > Subject: RE: National Do Not Call web site > > > What that article doesn't mention is that AT&T was apparently > appointed the contract to oversee the National Do Not Call > administration and enforcement.
