We have the Kodak EasyShare DX4900 (4 megapixels) and love it. We have a
much older Kodak DC 280 and love that as well.

It was actually CF (in a way) that forced us to get the new one: I wanted to
take the camera to last year's DevCon nd the wife wanted it for a kids
birthday party. So we compromised... and bought a new one for her. ;^)

The DX4900 is MUCH lighter than the 280 (it only needs two AAs where the 280
needs four) and is quite slimmer. It has a built in lens cover (the 280 has
a rubber snap on cover) and takes excellent pictures.

No professional features to speak of, but some control via the menus.

Compact Flash memory is cheaper than ever also.
