John,

Let see if I understand what you are trying to do.

There is a web page out there somewhere on the internet.

You need to submit some form data to this page, and it returns to you a page
containing XML data in answer to your form submission.

You want to have Cold Fusion submit this form, and get back the XML page and
manipulate the data in some way.

Is this correct?

And as always - what version of CF (MX or not)?

Okay,
I have never had the occasion to post to another application on the
internet and receive some xml data and manipulate it. I understand that in
order to use CFML, I must call this url though a tag like CFHTTP or
CFOBJECT.

Are there any other ways to do this in Cold Fusion?

I am running into problems with CFhttp, and am wondering if any of you have
had success in this area?

I can retrive the data using a simple html form submission, but then cannot
do anything with it at that point. Is there maybe a way to assign the
results of a form submission to a variable?

I know I am asking alot of questions, and so I appreciate any help anyone
can provide.

Thanks in advance

John
