I know what you mean. I was in great shape back when the army was paying me to run and work out twice a day :)
This weekend we had drill in the mountains around Cascade, MD. Part of the Appalachian trail goes right by our training site. Did a land navigation course up and down these things. Thought I was going to die. Wouldn't even have noticed they were there a few years ago.
