I never said that the corps are taking over, just that the story said so. But on
the other hand, lets look at the evidence for the other side.
1. The media is a construct of people who take events and alter them before
feeding them to the public.
2. You can't walk almost anywhere in NY without being watched by a camera
somewhere.
3. All of your credit card purchases can be tracked.
4. In NY, you credit card can be traced to your metro card and that can be
traced to see when and where it was used.
5a. You can't travel by plane without it being recorded and tracked.
5b. You can't get on a plane without a photo id. If you don't have one, your
screwed.
5c. How easy is it to travel by train without ID or being tracked?
6. Any travel outside of a state is monitored by 'protective' cameras at toll
stations. You can't even drive without being watched.
7. RFID tags are either already here or here in a month or two.

To what degree all this data can actually be used is the real question. Any form
of facial recognition is iffy at best (proven so despite claims). You need
humans to sort through the data and that is a save on the 'fuzzy' stuff. On the
other hand, tracking my credit card usage and such is childs play.

As a side note, I'm not paranoid. Really. I know that the Secret Service is
still watching and I know that others are as well. I really don't care much.
They can watch all they like. What I care about and despise is the manipulation
of truth.
