As far as weight is concerned, they are Accredited above all. Yes the online coursework requires considerable commitment as to time, but one must consider that with most classroom type classes with most universities, you are given more theory than meat. You graduate with general knowledge, usually the ability to research the answers to specific tasks, but you still must learn the nuts and bolts of any job that is eventually offered to you.
I believe the old maxim of 5 hours of study per 1 hour of class hold true, and doing fast paced online classes can well require even more study time. This is difficult to juggle with a full time job, and of course is not for everyone. Another thing, U of A does maintain a very aggressive marketing program. Fortunately, I never gave them an email address, thus I get promo mailings via snail mail about every two weeks or so. There are many accredited universities that offer online courses, however I don't know of any that will allow completion to graduation totally on an online basis. Their greed comes into play and they add SOME class time requirements in order to graduate. U of A will allow the entire degree program to be taken online, and you are granted the same degree (They claim) as those who studied in-residence. ====================================== Stop spam on your domain, use our gateway!
