Heh. I'm more disappointed with his early and middle works. I love that he
has created some things which a lot of people enjoy looking at and thinking.
I love a lot of the ideas behind his work. And I love his mustache! But
looking at his early work there's some question as to whether he actually
cheated his way through school by copying other art and calling it his own
(I knew people that did that while I struggled to get a grade. Grrrrr.) Then
in his independent and growing development of surrealism, while they are
compelling imagery, they are also poor in composition and technique of
presentation. I do like several of his Classical period works quite a bit
though.

And I can't ever think of him without seeing him staring wide eyed into the
camera, twirling his moustache, and saying "Daaaaaali!".
