It is unlikely you will receive free software from MM for this purpose. MM does sometimes provide NFR software to user groups, and you might contact one near you and see if the group is willing to donate the product to you. Since the MX products have been released, however, MM has not been distributing NFR copies of their server software.
As for non-profit organizations, such as NPR, the usual method is to have one of their donors or a group of them purchase the product and then donate it to the station.
