When they're talking about graphics quality, they're likely referring to
the quality of pictures and other images that would have gradients or
the like, and saying those printers did a lousy job with them. Any
printer will probably print bar codes perfectly, since the graphical
quality of them doesn't extend beyond two colors, right angles and
straight lines.
