Actually, you're not...
They took a guy to court because he refused to pay the licence, but he
said that he didn't watch the BBC
He managed to prove (by getting the cable company to provide his
details) that he never watched it, so he won the case...
It was quite a while ago, so I'm not sure if you can still get away with
