I thought Terminator 3 did a good job of effectively writing Arnie out
of the series.  I didn't think it was the best movie I'd seen, but I
appreciated the dark ending.  They could move Terminator out of the
Schwarzenegger-vehicle status and into a darker, futuristic sci-fi
franchise - detailing the first days after Skynet took over and
destroyed everything.  If they play their cards right, it could be a
terrific franchise.  Shoehorning The Rock into an unnecessary part would
undermine that, however.
