I'm actually tired of these first gen terminators mysteriously beating
all the more advanced models actually :-)

Can't we have a cool present Gen terminator fighting against stiff
opposition or something, but able to use super cool abilities to
complete its objectives for the good guys for once ?

And I hope they stop now with the jumping back and forth in time. It's
actually amazing that they have a successful franchise after repeating
the same plot in three movies. But I guess the audience that flocks to
Terminator doesn't care much for the plot...just the stars, special
effects and action.

I thought Terminator 3 did a good job of effectively writing Arnie out
of the series.  I didn't think it was the best movie I'd seen, but I
appreciated the dark ending.  They could move Terminator out of the
Schwarzenegger-vehicle status and into a darker, futuristic sci-fi
franchise - detailing the first days after Skynet took over and
destroyed everything.  If they play their cards right, it could be a
terrific franchise.  Shoehorning The Rock into an unnecessary part would

undermine that, however.
