| When are we going to get a good moderate party?
|
| I need one - I'm conservative on some issues yet liberal on others, tending
more to the left than to the right.

|   Well also to sell copies of his book :). Suckering people into buying
|   that waste of paper is good for his personal wallet as well.
|
|
|   Amazingly i have more respect for Rush then i do for Mr O'Really errr
|   O'Reilly. I dislike EXTREME people for the most part, i don't like the
|   extreme right talking heads, i don't like the extreme left talking heads
|   because they all spout bullshit. There is this extreme left lady on the
|   radio here i forget her name but i can't stand her either .   She starts
|   to demonize all republicans and just goes way over the edge. I am smart
|   enough to know half the stuff she is talking is bullshit and she is only
|   trying to rile the left wing people into a frenzy of anti-republican
|   sentiment. I do not need someone working me up to see what is wrong with
|   some republican policies.  On the same hand i don't need Rush & O'Reilly
|   spouting off on their typical anti liberal agendas. If all talking heads
|   could just drop the bullshit and keep things relatively in the land
|   reality i would be much happier. I understand my left views do not
|   always jive with some other peoples views. That does not mean we're not
|   all human  and that we're allowed to have our own views and opnions.
|   Nobody should be demonizing someone else for their beliefs. The real
|   demons are the people who go around trying to demonize others its not
|   cool in anyway. I know its all a ratings game, extremes draw attention,
|   look at jerry springer. The show is a complete waste of airtime but it
|   draws masses of people watching it, not just rednecks like alot of
|   people think but scholars and smart people. Its just something about
|   extremes that draw people in like a trance and you can't pull yourself
|   away from it similar to seeing a car crash.  It's definately (spelled it
|   right this time!!)  something I hope people start to resolve, if we stop
|   watching this crap will just go away without support, like the class
|   clown if you stop laughing he will stop doing.

|   You've just given another great example that backs up my point. What
|   does
|   NAMBLA have to do with 99% of daily life? Even daily gay life? The only
|   reason he brings crap like that up is to make an extreme point that has
|   little bearing on the overwhelming majority of situations. It's a straw
|   man
|   argument that is an insult to intelligence. And it's done to be, as you
|   say,
|   entertaining.
