Here is the bottom line for me. Bush talks about principle, but he is not
the one dying for it. He is ordering young soldiers who believed in him to
do so. And his talk of principle because laughable in the face of
revelation after revelation about exactly how US actions benefit his
financial supporters.

This is a cynical regime that counts on our continued acquiescence because
it is easier for us to not question its actions. Because it wraps itself in
banality, it may even be more evil than regimes who are far bloodier.
