Actually in India we call it Holi (as per the link I provided). It is
possible that it is known as "Phagwag" in one of the thousands of
languages/dialects in India. I have never come across that word though.
Not very familiar with controversies surrounding VS Naipaul or the
movie. I have only recently come in contact with people of the
Indo-Caribbean community at the temple here in Toronto.
