in my opinion. The entire joke could have told in 30 seconds: first
scene, where he makes the claim, second scene where she comes downstairs
and see him at her kitchen table. Done and done.
The rest of it made it non-funny to me: when you can reduce the
characters to people in a bar joke it could be funny, when you explore
their emotions and reactions and create real people out of them it
becomes less so.
At least to me. Different strokes however measured and all.
