Gah! Have you read 1984, Brave New World, Farenheit 451, Animal Farm, etc?
And if you want to stick to film for you distopic storytelling, then you
can't even put a movie like Equilibrium next to Brazil and call it good.
Heck, go out and rent yourself a copy of THX1138.

I don't even mind that it's derivative, but it's flawed in both premise and
execution. Heck, who the hell invents a state mandated drug without making
it addictive?
