this week, but what I read sounds interesting.
Of course, there are a couple things I'm concerned about:
1. In the article I read, it talked about the Avalon architecture requiring
more graphics hardware horsepower than is currently available to developers.
(Reminds me of OS X where Apple released on OS that could barely run on any
machine available. It took a couple generations of new hardware for the OS
to run butter smooth.)
2. Decay of useability in favor of cool, wow, nifty graphics. While as a UI
guy, I know that current software is bad, at least engineers can follow
rules if you tell them the rules. "Artists" though, see rules as things
meant to be completely disregarded and intentionally broken.
