i've been using e-fax for a couple of years now. well worth the $9.95/month IMO. don't have to worry about the hassle of a 2nd phone line, maintaining a fax machine, and I can get/view my faxes from any location via web browser thru my web email interface.
just my $0.02. if i get any change back, just send to my paypal account.

Yes however eFax is about $150/year
I am sure I can find something better that that.
Also I could have a regular machine at that cost
and purchase some software to monitor it. That
would equal in price after the first one or two years.

e-fax?
doesn't require a faxmodem, just an e-mail account, can send to a fax
machine or e-mail, comes straight to your inbox.
