I also have good news for the day! I've been doing some small contract work
here and there but haven't landed anything serious until today.
I'm officially a 1099 "Contractor" for one company doing security analysis
when they start getting the projects inked. Until then I am going to be
rebuilding their website as well as an Intranet system for their time
tracking and billing. Today I also got word that one of my other contracts
is going to have work for me for the next 6-8 month.
(*boogies*) I'm workin' again!
... now does anyone have any suggestions on how I take care of things like
medical insurance and retirement plans? I remember seeing sites that
handled that kinda stuff for freelancers but have lost the links.

Subject: Off the train wreck
Just got a call from a company that I interviewed with last September. They
made me an offer for a job that was about the same as the current one I'm
on - this time a very doable position, and even better real benefits.
Needless to say I've accepted it. Time to type up the resignation letter
and have a Christmas vacation.
