Coincidentally, I just got a call from an organization I interviewed
with last August. They made me an offer for a position out in Las Vegas,
Nevada, and it was a temp-to-perm thing where I wouldn't be making much
more than I do now (but I would be accepting a lot of risk to move out
there).

Now they want to offer me a full time position as a manager and a raise.
They are a quasi-governmental think tank that does a lot of GIS work.

Just got a call from a company that I interviewed with last September.
They
made me an offer for a job that was about the same as the current one
I'm
on - this time a very doable position, and even better real benefits.

Needless to say I've accepted it. Time to type up the resignation letter

and have a Christmas vacation.
