Well, what you could do is run a cron job to refresh an XML document at
some set interval. When you are distributing your droplets, hand out a
Perl script to install the cron job, and another to uninstall it.

Does Mac OSX support RPM? I don't think it comes installed by default,
but someone told me they had it running on a Mac OSX recently. This
could be another avenue.

Not sure I was only blindly speculating. You could generate the xml doc
in
cf then use the widget to grab it off the network server. I don't have
the
docs with me, and as I said I just started fooling around with it, but I

could not see why not.
