afaik, it's a known issue.  select elements always get the top z-index position.

the only workaround that i've heard of is to put the <select> in a div, and make that <div> hidden when the dhtml menu is moused over.

not an eloquent solution, i know...but it's the only one i'm aware of.  If somebody knows of another, I'm all ears.

: )

  Subject: Quick dhtml question

I have a dhtml dropdown menu on one of my pages (created by a designer in Fireworks)

I just put it on a page with a form containing a select box.

The select box shows over the top of the dropdown menulist in IE. As if it had the highest z-index. Which it doesn't.

Is this a known issue (that I have been blissfully unaware of)?
Is there anything I can do about it?

  Thanks for any info,
  Jerry Johnson
