Tim,

Are you sure you really want to get into a sink hole of a money pit by
starting a rescue? BTW smart idea about stopping that idea of your
wife's.
Email me off list for some of the horror stories I've heard about it.
Also
since you're in Virginia, you may want to check the new shelter and
rescue
law. In a nutshell, if you run what can be defined as a rescue, the Dept
of
agriculture can search your entire residence at any time without a
warrant
for any reason. And that's just the starter.

Regardless, since you're in Virginia I can give you the name of a really

excellent exotics vet practice. The one we use is

Stahl Exotic Animal Veterinary Services (SEAVS)
Tel:  703-281-3750.
111-A Center St., South
Vienna, VA 22180

They are really good, and have an excellent staff. They have my
strongest
recommendation.
