Well without having rights to the media being downloaded it is.


If you have bought say an old video tape of Star Wars, and then download it
and burn it to DVD your ok (unless it has extras possibly, since that is new
content not covered by the original license).


If your just downloading something that you didn't purchase, say off of
Kaazaa or whatever, yeah you can be charged.  They (RIAA and others) have
actually been pressing charges on people lately.
