I vex. I real real vex!
I went home for a family get together, and just checked through some old
mail. I came across a notice from AV Knowles that they have started
legal proceedings on behalf of TSTT for an outstanding Internet bill of
2400 TT. So I wondering to myself what the hell is this? Since I
cancelled my TSTT Internet account over five years ago and never
reconnected.
Then I recalled...I cancelled it because there was a discrepancy with my
bill. Payments I made to the tune of 800 dollars every month (Remember
when Unlimited was 800TT a month?) suddenly went missing for three
months,my bill jumped and I got informed that they had no record of
payment for these 3 months. My arguments fell on deaf ears unless
receipts for all three months could be provided, and I couldn't find
them. Then one TSTT employee says that there had been 'problems'
updating some system when cash payments were made at that park street
office or some kinda bullsh** like that. Now, understand my service
never got cut during those three months (consecutive) that I supposedly
hadn't paid, but no one could say how that was possible (it was quite
acceptable that my not getting cut could be a glitch, but they would
have to investigate whether their forgetting I had paid was a glitch as
well).
So I ended up saying if they couldn't figure out what happened and
resolve the issue somehow that I would be cancelling my account. Never
got a response...so I went ahead and cancelled the account (Because they
were only too happy to keep billing me and adding onto the outstanding
bill). For over three years I have survived without a TSTT Internet
account in my name, not even a TSTT email address. So is not as though I
using the blasted system and have an outstanding balance etc. I said I
was cancelling the account until the matter was resolved, and that's
exactly what I did!
Now...five or six years later I get a notice of legal action!???
WHAT THE Hell WRONG WITH THIS COMPANY!!???
This is UTTER rubbish!Just December at least three people I know got
billed incorrectly on their Internet accounts and were told that TSTT
had some 'problems with billing', but nothing resolved yet. So if they
decide to cancel their accounts until it's resolved, in five years time
they getting taken to court?rubbish!
And I still have the hard disk running with the emails I sent to TSTT
Support, so I'll probably have to use those as evidence as well
depending on what the lawyer says.
I prefer to pay legal council than to pay this money to TSTT!
I'm getting into contact with lawyers to find out what my legal options
are, because now just as five years ago..I NOT PAYING NO BLASTED TSTT
BILL TWICE!
Has this ever happened to anyone else?
