My unit has a washable foam filter over its air intake. Unit came with two of them. Be sure to wash them frequently as per instructions or the unit can overheat and fail.

Side benefit of the CPAP - fewer allergy symptoms: I'm breathing clean, moist, filtered air all night :-)
