I probably still would. I have several other accounts that are limited to 20 or 25 MB, but I just archive them to my main account.
Moving from POP to IMAP is like moving from a desktop database to a client-server database. You get all the goodies with being able to access the data from multiple places (and multiple interfaces) simultaneously, storage (and backup!) in a central locaton, archives that are always accessible etc.
