are quite impressive animals!
Funny story... we got our dog from the humane society and he has a very bad
leaping and pulling habit when he is on the leash. When he gets really
excited he even nips my arm or hand. So he has a lot to unlearn!I am using a
special collar called a "halti" that is supposed to work something like a
horse halter. Mary and I watched the movie "Seabiscuit" recently, and it
helped me to feel ok about our crazy dog.
He loves to run. He's making (slow) progress in many ways but it does take
patience to put up with. Given that it took two of them to walk him out to
the run at the Humane Society I have decided not to feel too bad about our
"bucking bronco"! I'm sure that patience and perseverance will pay off. :)

I have horses. The guy that owns the barn was right there when it happened.
He'd even warned me - "watch out for the left side - it's icy." Oh well. My
right wrist is complaining about typing today. Grrrr.
